Music Makers & Shakers

    • Ages 4-5 • M-F, April 22-26 • 8:30-11:30 am • Instructor: Alison Mott • $225
    • Come sing dance and play with Green Mountain Music Together’s Alison Mott. We’ll play simple instruments, work on our improvisational singing and dancing, sing rounds, play musical games, and make our own instruments! Your children will emerge from this week with more rhythm, more melody and more joy in making music with their voices and their bodies. A wide variety of music from all over the world will be explored in this fun and exciting camp.

Kindergarten Registration Deadline!

Kindergarten Registration for the 2019-2020 school year is OPEN NOW.  If you have a child who will be turning 5 years old by September 1st, 2019, you need to register them now for Kindergarten!  The deadline to register is February 22, 2019. Registration can only be done online (click here).  If you do not have access to a computer or need assistance you may stop by your neighborhood school (or any of the Burlington Public Schools) where you will be given access to a computer and help with any questions.

Medication Safety

Medication Safety

The Holiday Season is a great time for a reminder concerning medication safety.  Many medicines look and taste like candy.  Children are curious and can quickly get into medication left within reach.  With relatives visiting who may be bringing medication with them it is always important to check and make sure that:

 

  1. All medicine, including vitamins, are up and away and out of sight.
  2. Remember to keep visitors’ purses, bags and coats out of reach, as they may contain medicine.
  3. Child-resistant packaging is NOT childproof. Put all medicine up and away immediately after use.
  4. In case of an emergency keep the Poison Center Help Line number 1-800-222-1222 in your phone and posted in your house.

Holiday Break

Preschool (Ira Allen, Flynn, IAA, and SA) will be closed for Holiday Break December 24th – January 2nd.  Our Early Ed. office will be closed those days as well.  Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and a Happy New Year!

Transition to Kindergarten

Transition to Kindergarten Meetings

Please join us for an informal discussion about your child’s transition to kindergarten. A kindergarten teacher, the Enrollment Coordinator and the Expanded Learning Director will join us to review kindergarten expectations, discuss simple ways to encourage early literacy and math skills, and answer questions regarding the Burlington Elementary Schools, registration, transportation, and after school programs.
