- What is Bright Start?
Is a combined classroom of students who meet the criteria of students who are 5 with summer birthdays that might need a more gradual transition to kindergarten, and students who are 4 and may be a good fit for a more social and academic preschool environment.
- What is the process to get into Bright Start?
Please reach out to either Stacie Curtis – scurtis@bsdvt.org or Victor Prussack -vprussa@bsdvt.org to have your child’s name added to the lottery list. Once children are added to the list we prioritize in the following order:

- Students who are four and five
- Students who have siblings already in the district

No, they do not need to be potty trained.

We have open enrollment throughout the year. Due to our capacity we have an ongoing waitlist for our program. Please follow THIS LINK to add your child to the waitlist.

Placement is determined in late Spring/early May. Letters will be sent out in May and families are required to confirm and accept placement.
- How is placement determined?
Our classroom placements are prioritized in the following order:

Registering your child does not guarantee placement in a classroom.
