Bright Start: Is a combined classroom of Kindergarten and 4-year-old PreK students who meet the criteria of students who are 5 years old with summer birthdays that might need a more gradual transition to kindergarten, and students who are 4 and may be a good fit for a more social and academic preschool environment. It is open to students coming from any of our schools. This program has placement criteria. To express interest please email cfay@bsdvt.org.

Full Day Preschool Classroom: Our classroom is full of dynamic and fun 3-5 year olds! We spend our days learning through play. Our curriculum is child-directed and play-based. We take what our students are interested in and expand our learning about it to challenge their minds, teach them all about the world we live in, and what skills they will need to be successful. We spend a lot of time learning how to be a kind and meaningful member of society. This includes learning how to collaborate, solve social problems, take care of our environment, and empathize with others. We also use the Vermont Early Learning Standards (VELS) to inform our curriculum and help us assess children’s learning. The VELS are a wonderful tool to help us ensure our children are learning all they need to know through meaningful and engaging play.
