1.  Enrollment in a pre-qualified preschool program.

Burlington residents must first be enrolled at a pre-qualified preschool program in order to receive Act 166 funding.  Contact the program directly to enroll your child.

2.  Registration

To register your child for Act 166 funding you must first have your child enrolled to attend a pre-qualified preschool program.

Once enrolled in a program – select the ‘School Registration’ tab or click here >

> create an account or sign-in to an existing account > register a new student.

(When making a school choice select ‘Community Partner Program (Act 166)’ then select your program from the drop-down)

3.  Required Documents

While completing the online registration, please upload all documents into PowerSchool or send them to our Act 166 Coordinator. 

Payment will not be issued to your program until all required documents have been received.  We require the following documents for payment:

• Proof of Residency One –  
  • Current Burlington property tax bill, or
  • Current mortgage papers/closing statement showing a Burlington address and the name of the parent or legal guardian, or custodian, or
  • Formal lease showing the name, address and telephone number of the landlord, Burlington address, and name of lessee, or
  • A notarized letter from the landlord stating the address of the residence being leased and the name(s) of the lessee(s), along with the landlord’s address and telephone number.
• Proof of Residency Two –
  • Valid Vermont identification card with Burlington address, or
  • Valid Vermont vehicle registration card with Burlington address, or
  • Current utility bill in your name with Burlington address, or
  • Valid Vermont drivers license with Burlington address, or
  • Valid automobile insurance card with Burlington address, or
  • Bank Statement for last or current month (financial information redacted) with name and  Burlington address.
• Birth Date Verification– 
  • Certified Birth Certificate, or
  • A passport or I-94 card, or
  • Hospital,  physician’s or religious certificate showing date of birth, or
  • previously verified school records.
